Terms and conditions - Courses

General policies of The Guitar Social relevant to any persons booking a course or engaging with The Guitar Socials Services.

Refunds on courses 

  1. Courses are non refundable less than 8 weeks before the start date
  2. Courses are sold via Guitar Social platforms by Guitar Social team members only, touting or resale attempts will result in the course being null and void

Cancelled sessions by you

  1. If you can’t make a session you are welcome to attend any other session within the term that your originally allocated session fell in. For example, if you have booked a course in the Summer term, you may attend any other session on any other course that falls within the Summer term. 

Cancelled sessions by The Guitar Social 

  1. If The Guitar Social cancels a single session during your course, we will do all we can to re arrange that session at a reasonable time and date within your allocated term. Where this is not possible you will be invited to attend any other two sessions on our other courses redeemable within a 12 month period. For example, if we cancel a session in the Summer term, you can then claim two alternative classes of your choosing in the Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring terms.  
  2. If The Guitar Social cancels two sessions, we will do all we can to re-arrange those session at a reasonable time and date within your allocated term. Where this is not possible you will be invited to attend any other three sessions on our other courses redeemable within a 12 month period. For example, if we cancel two sessions in the Summer term, you can then claim three alternative classes of your choosing in the Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring terms.  
  3. If The Guitar Social cancels more than two sessions from your course you will be offered cash refunds for those sessions. If an entire course is cancelled a full refund will be issued. 

What you can expect from The Guitar Social ahead of your course

At the point of booking a course, you will be provided with the following 

  1. An invite to a whatsapp community*
  2. Access to The Guitar Social calendar 
  3. A link to a shared drive where your resources and materials will be stored 
  4. The address and location details where your course is due to take place 

Whatsapp use

  1. The Guitar Social operates several whatsapp groups. These are for the discussion of music in general. We kindly ask that you avoid divisive subjects such as politics, religion, vaccines and health advice, money and class, conspiracy theories, nationalism and cultural identity, gossip, comments relating to body images or jokes and memes that could be deemed controversial or close to the line. Otherwise, have fun with Whatsapp and use it to grow your network 
  2. If you wish to sell an item or promote an event, then please speak with a member of The Guitar Social team and they will work with you to add the event to the Guitar Social promotions schedule or assist you with the sale of your item, if the item is related to music. Failure to do so may result in removal from our whatsapp community. 

Courting for Business

  1. The Guitar Social kindly asks that you refrain from using The Guitar Social, in its online or in person form to generate customers for any business venture you may be involved in. If you are found to be courting for business within The Guitar Socials network, your invite to classes, events and any online shared communities will be revoked.
