Beginners Bass with Thomas-Saturdays, 1.30pm throughout February 2026

Our much loved bass course is back with a short run introductory program which you can do as a stand alone course or as preparation for our six week program arriving in March 2026. 

You'll be working with Thomas Binns, the founder of The Guitar Social as you work through the fundamentals of playing the grooviest instrument in the world. 

You'll of course benefit from having a bass guitar, but this program can be taken using a six string normal guitar. 

Learning outcomes 

Not names across the entire fretboard 

Major and minor arpeggios 

Correct picking technique

Understanding the roll of the bass player in a band 

Eight iconic bass riffs

Two longer bass lines 

You'll gain the ability to jam across a variety of songs (minimum five) 

One long study piece
